Mid 17th century Northern European Baroque iron safe in the form of a barrel, with the original key and bearing the monogram "GVS". Originally used for maritime travel to disguise valuable content. 20" diameter at widest point, 17" diameter at base and top. 30 1/4" high with key / 29" high without key.
